In a vehicle where front wheel and rear wheel are asymmetric in terms of regeneration, control accuracy for a required total braking power is high to enable a smooth braking, and a regenerative quantity can be increased without compromise in traveling safety. A braking controller is provided with a braking power distributing means for controlling the distribution of a required total braking power, the braking power distributing means distributing a required total braking power by means of regenerative distribution. The regenerative distribution is required to fall within a rear wheel-prioritized range where a distribution ratio is biased to rear wheels from an ideal distribution line IL for imparting distribution of locking front wheels and rear wheels concurrently and fall within a range up to a rear wheel locking limit line µ2L where rear wheels lock depending on the relation with road surface friction coefficient at braking, and is further required to have a positive rear wheel braking power change ratio at all times which is a ratio between a change in front wheel braking power and a change in rear wheel braking power caused by a change in required total braking power.
