摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a vertical shaft Magnus type wind power generator having high power generating efficiency, low costs, and strong resistance against strong winds, as the condition of winds in Japan is compratively low in wind velocity and there are many places suitable for a vertical shaft type wind power generator, by using a wide range of wind velocity on the upstream side because a conventional vertical shaft type wind power generator has an aspect that it is lower in efficiency than a horizontal type wind power generator. <P>SOLUTION: This vertical shaft Magnus type wind power generator is composed of a Magnus type windmill part having a plurality of cylinders (Magnus cylinders) each of which rotates that are perpendicularly journaled and disposed on a circumference of a power generating mechanism with a perpendicular rotating shaft as a central axis, and a power generating part. The above problem is solved by rotating the Magnus type windmill part by Magnus force generated by rotating each of the Magnus cylinders by wind velocity, and rotating the power generator by the rotational force and generating ac power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
