PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector equipped with a shielding member having a function for effectively cooling a circuit element and intercepting light to the circuit element. SOLUTION: The projector 1 is equipped with a control substrate 12 on which an IC 19 is mounted, a shielding plate 20 which protects the control substrate 12 from electric noise, and a cooling mechanism part which supplies cooling air for cooling a heat generation part such as the IC 19 and a light source part 411. The shielding plate 20 has an IC cooling part 30 making the cooling air flow into the IC 19, a shielding part 40 intercepting the light L so as not to enter the IC 19, and a light source cooling plate 21 making the cooling air flow into the light source part 411.
