PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positioning of an annular plate to a stator without forming a snap ring and a groove for fitting the snap ring, at the stator. SOLUTION: This support structure of a one-way clutch 38 for supporting the one-way clutch 38 provided between a transmission side shaft and the stator 33 of a torque converter 1 for transmitting torque from an engine to the transmission side by means of a fluid, comprises a first projecting part 330 and a first contact plate 34. The first projecting part 330 is provided at the inner peripheral end of the stator 38 and projected toward the inner peripheral side. The first contact plate 34 is fitted between the one-way clutch 38 and the first projecting part 330 of the stator 33 to support the one-way clutch 38 while regulating the axial movement of the one-way clutch 38.
