PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door phone system capable of reading visitor information whose adequacy is guaranteed so as to specify a visitor and displaying the visitor information. SOLUTION: The door phone system comprises a slave unit having a call button, and an information read means of reading visitor specification information whose adequacy is guaranteed so as to specify the visitor recorded in an IC card that the visitor carries when detecting the call button being pressed; and a master unit having a monitor for image display, and an information display means of generating a notifying sound and also displaying the visitor specification information read out by the information read means on the monitor when detecting the call button being pressed.
