The invention relates to a clamping ring comprising: a belt (3) consisting of a strip and two free ends which are each bent backwards in such a way as to form a loop (5) and are each defined by an outer part (7) of the belt and an underneath inner part (9) of the belt; and a tightening system which is used to bring the loops (5) closer to each other and tighten the belt, and in which both ends of the belt are bent backwards towards the inside of the ring, the inner part (9) of the belt extending past the loop (5), beneath the strip (3), and the outer part (7) of the belt comprising a clamping wall (17) with which the tightening system engages.
