The present invention relates to a method of distributing multimedia content to at least one content server on board an aircraft, characterized in that it comprises: a first step, in a first airport, of transferring a multimedia content via a wireless link from a central server of said first airport to a plurality of clients/servers on board a fleet of aircraft, - then a second step, in a second airport, of transferring at least part of said multimedia content via a wireless link between clients/servers of several aircraft through a "peer-to-peer" mechanism.
