<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an area correcting method capable of facilitating the correction in extracting an area of an organ from the image displayed on a monitor and allowing a user to easily estimate the result of the correction. <P>SOLUTION: A guide area (a first area) 11 to be referred to is prepared. Next, a working area (a second area) 12 is corrected using the guide area 11. The working area 12 is the area to which variation is added by the user to make a target area. The correction is performed as indicated in Fig.(c) by the user specifying the area to be corrected (a third area) 13 within the guide area 11. When the correction work is performed, the logical product of the guide area 11 and the area specified as the corrected area (the third area) 13 is added to the working area 12, and as a result, the working area 12 indicated in Fig.(a) is changed to a corrected working area 14 indicated in Fig.(d). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
