<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of preventing defective operation by compensating a delay of a gate turn-on signal, and to provide a driving method of the display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display panel 100 which has a plurality of gate lines connected with a plurality of pixels; a gate driving part 200 which successively supplies the gate turn-on signal to the plurality of gate lines on the basis of the driving clock signal; a gate clock producing part 400 which produces the driving clock signal on the basis of an inner clock signal and a delay control signal; and a signal detection part 700 which produces the delay control signal on the basis of the inner clock signal and the gate turn-on signal. Thus, the presence or the absence of the delay of the gate turn-on signal which is given to the gate lines via the signal detection part is detected, a pulse width of logic-high interval of the clock signal is adjusted on the basis of the detection result and, thereby, the delay of the gate turn-on signal can be compensated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
