PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning tool of inexpensive structure effectively scraping dust attached to an air filter in one direction. SOLUTION: The cleaning tool is provided with a brush body 16 slidingly contacting the air filter 21 built in the air conditioner 20 and removing dust of the air filter 21, and an electric motor (not shown) reciprocatingly moving the brush body 16 along the surface of the air filter 21, with an angle between the center line of the brush body16 and the surface of the air filter 21 in the moving direction of the brush body 16 set different in advancing and returning times in moving of the brush body 16. For example, in advancing, by setting the angle of roughly 90°, dust of the air filter 21 can be effectively scraped in the moving direction, and by setting the angle of less than 90°in returning, the brush body 16 only strokes the surface of the air filter 21 without scraping the dust remaining on the surface of the air filter 21 in the reverse direction.
