PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite communication terminal and carrier capturing method thereof in which a carrier can be accurately captured through speedy processing by tracking a Doppler frequency that varies every moment. SOLUTION: In a satellite communication terminal, a Doppler component is contained in a local signal to be multiplied when frequency-converting (synchronization-detecting) a carrier signal from a satellite into a baseband signal, thereby also canceling the component.
