PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite type gas alarm device preventing malfunction due to miscellaneous gas in inspection by using CO and H<SB>2</SB>contained in inner flame gas of a gas lighter as inspection gas. SOLUTION: A first inspection means 10a-1 inspects a function of outputting an alarm signal showing incomplete combustion during an inspection period to warn of a detection of the incomplete combustion. A second inspection means 10a-2 inspects a function of detecting output in a transition part and a low temperature part during the inspection period, and outputting an alarm signal showing gas leakage when the output in the transition part reaches an inspection level to warn of a detection of the gas leakage. An H<SB>2</SB>inspection level setting means 10a-21 of the second inspection means 10a-2 sets an H<SB>2</SB>inspection level to high so that the output detected in the transition part may not reach it until the output detected in the low temperature part by the first inspection means reaches a predetermined setting change decision level, and sets the H<SB>2</SB>inspection level to low so that the output detected in the transition part reaches it after reaching the setting change decision level.
