摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a twisted nematic liquid crystal in a TN mode or the like has a slow response speed and causes blur in motion pictures when a high-speed image is displayed. SOLUTION: The relation between the twist pitch p and the gap d of a twist liquid crystal is set to p/d<8 and polymers are stabilized to achieve high-speed stabilization which increases the torque for recovering an alignment state when no voltage is applied, and thereby, the response speed of the liquid crystal during falling can be increased. By applying the above technique to a liquid crystal display device which is driven to reset, overdrive or perform common modulation, a fast response speed can be obtained even when a TN liquid crystal is used.
