PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shading member-equipped optical connector plug 1 in which a detachable shading member is formed. SOLUTION: The shading member 13 comprises: a shutter housing 14 which encloses a cylindrical plug frame slidably on the outside thereof and is inserted into an engagement opening of a connector receptacle to be engaged when the optical connector is connected, the cylindrical plug frame including and supporting a ferrule for protecting the end part of an optical fiber; a shutter 16 the one end of which is supported by the shutter housing at a front part of the housing and the other end of which is so urged by an elastic force and closes as to shade the optical fiber at a position in front of the ferrule; and an elastic member 18 which is disposed behind the shutter housing, always urges the shutter housing forward, and is disposed between the rear part of the plug frame and a cylindrical knob which encloses the rear part of the plug frame.
