PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor excellent in wear resistance, cleaning properties and electrical durability, even in the case of repeated use for a long period of time under exposure with short-wavelength light and is capable of outputting high-quality images free of an abnormal image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has at least a charge-generating layer and a charge transport layer, in this order, on a conductive substrate, wherein the outermost surface layer of the electrophotographic photoreceptor contains filler particles; the filler particles in the outermost surface layer are in a uniformly dispersed state satisfying Expression (1): 1.0×10<SP>-3</SP>≤(df×b<SP>3</SP>)/(dm×a<SP>3</SP>)≤2.5×10<SP>-2</SP>(wherein "a" denotes an average interval (nm) between filler particles; "b" denotes the average diameter (nm) of the filler particles; "df" denotes the density (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) of the filler particles; "dm" denotes the average density (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) of a solid in the outermost surface layer); and the charge generating layer comprises a material capable of generating charges by exposure light, having an oscillation wavelength of 350-500 nm.
