PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mount structure of an engine with a variable valve timing mechanism capable of restraining the vibration of a chain case and noise caused by it by enhancing surface rigidity in the vicinity of a mount attachment part without having a fastening part to an engine body in the center of the chain case. SOLUTION: In the mount structure of the engine with the variable valve timing mechanism, an actuator of the variable valve timing mechanism is attached to at least one of intake and exhaust cam shafts, and an actuator cover 18C covering the actuator and the mount attachment part 34 are protruded on the outer surface of the chain case 18. The mount attachment part 34 protruded on the chain case 18 is connected to a lower part of the actuator cover 18C, a step 18c formed at the outer periphery of the actuator cover 18C is extended into a plane shape to the mount attachment part 34, and the lower end thereof is connected to the mount attachment part 34.
