PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle, certainly shutting out a thermal effect from a heat exchanger for heating when selecting a vent mode while reducing costs by disusing an exclusive warm air shielding door. SOLUTION: In an air conditioning unit A/U 1, an evaporator 2, a front cold air door 10 and a front warm air door 11 as front mix doors, and a heater core 3 are arranged in an air conditioner case 1 in the order from an upstream blower side toward a downstream blowout port side. Foot opening parts 16, 16 opened and closed by a foot door 6 are set in an air mixing area of the air conditioner case 1, where cold air passed through the evaporator 2 mixes with warm air passed through the heater core 3, and a shielding plate part 63 (shielding plate) shielding the thermal effect from the heater core 3 when the door is closed is integrally provided to the foot door 6.
