PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in the frequency of use of some nozzles of a nozzle group with a larger number of nozzles than those of other nozzle groups. SOLUTION: This liquid ejector comprises: a carrying portion for carrying a medium along a predetermined direction; the first nozzle group 211K1 with the plurality of nozzles for ejecting a first liquid; the second nozzle group 211K2 with a larger number of nozzles than those of the first nozzle group, which eject a second liquid different in kind from the first liquid; and a controller. The controller performs the first liquid ejecting operation of ejecting the first and second liquids by means of some of the nozzles of the first and second nozzle groups, and the second liquid ejecting operation of ejecting the first and second liquids by means of the other nozzles different from some of the nozzles of the first and second nozzle groups.
