<p>The device (1) has a lower cavity (3) provided with a form cavity (6), and an upper cavity (2) provided with an elongator (4) that is inserted into the form cavity. A sensor (14-21) is attached to the device for measuring an environmental parameter or a characteristic of a formed product, where the sensor is accommodated around the elongator. The sensor measures a distance between the elongator and the upper cavity or a compressive flange, where the sensor forms a part of an external surface of the elongator.
