PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide restriction for allowing a terminal which is a remote recording reservation request source to reproduce copy of content data recorded by a recording and reproducing apparatus according to a remote recording reservation request from a terminal.

SOLUTION: Each time the terminal 500 transmits the remote recording reservation request of the content data to the recording and reproducing apparatus 600, the terminal 500 transmits an event ID and an equipment ID which are encryption keys for encrypting the content data. The recording and reproducing apparatus records the content data based on the remote recording reservation request. The recording and reproducing apparatus, when copy of the recorded content data is taken out to the outside, encrypts the content data by the encryption keys to create copy of the content data. The terminal acquires copy of content data encrypted by the recording and reproducing apparatus and releases the content data using the encryption keys.
