<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device capable of providing an appropriate braking force even if a hydraulic brake fades, easily applicable also to a compact car such as a passenger car. <P>SOLUTION: The brake device is provided with the hydraulic brake 80 for generating a braking force corresponding to the pressure of a brake fluid; an electric brake 10 driven by an electric actuator 20; a fade state detection means 40 for detecting the fade state of the hydraulic brake 80; and an electric brake control means 40 for braking the electric brake 10 by a braking force corresponding to a braking force decline amount of the hydraulic brake 80 caused by the fade state when the fade state of the hydraulic brake 80 is generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
