<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of showing display corresponding to a vertical direction of a user's face image by detecting the vertical direction of the user's face image without depending on the user's posture, the way to use the portable terminal device and the way to hold the portable terminal device. <P>SOLUTION: In the portable terminal device 101, and image processing part 4 detects position information of face elements from a face image photographed by an in-camera 1, and a CPU part 5 determines the vertical direction of the user's face image with respect to its own terminal on the basis of the position information of the face elements, controls the vertical direction of the image to a display direction in a display screen in accordance with the vertical direction of the face image and displays the image in a displaying part 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
