<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in an air conditioner installed on a floor, constituted to discharge air sucked from an air suction port in a front face, from an air blow out port in the front face, wherein if a front panel is formed into predetermined shape by bending a metal plate or molding synthetic resin and the air blow out port is formed in the front face of the front panel, the strength of this part is lowered, and cold air cooled by a heat exchanger in air-conditioning operation collides with the front panel to produce dew drops at the front panel to wet a filter and other parts below. <P>SOLUTION: The front panel is formed of an upper front panel and a lower front panel, and the lower end of the heat exchanger faces an upper face opening of a drain pan. A foam heat insulating material such as styrene foam is stuck to substantially the whole region of the back face of the front panel to surround the air blow out port, and the lower end of the foam heat insulating material faces the upper face opening of the drain pan. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
