<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating autoimmune diseases, including both antibody-mediated and cell-mediated disorders. <P>SOLUTION: The methods for inhibiting immune responses in ex vivo peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) comprises extracting patient-derived peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from patients, treating the cells with a controlling composition including TGF-β and IL-2 for sufficient time to suppress tissue damage due to immunocytes, and thereafter reintroducing the treated cells into the patients, and thereby autoimmune symptoms are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
