<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device, a network redundant connection method and network redundant connection program capable of preventing generation of packet loss in redundant connection between a SONET/SDH network and a LAN network. <P>SOLUTION: In an MSPP device 100 of the present invention, an ACT/STBY judgment part 101b judges ACT/STBY of an Eth (WK) 105 and an Eth (PT) 106 on the basis of failure information detected by a failure detection part 101a. Then, invalid Negotiation information is transmitted from the Eth (WK) 105 or the Eth (PT) 106 newly considered as STBY to the opposite L2/L3 Switch.
