PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost high-performance oscillator simple in configuration. SOLUTION: This oscillator comprises a resonance circuit provided with a coil and a capacitor and an oscillation circuit for amplifying and outputting resonance generated in the resonance circuit. A SAW filter having a prescribed passing band width is interposed to an oscillation loop formed in the oscillation circuit, and an element for changing a capacitance value of the resonance circuit, a variable capacitance diode for instance, is connected in parallel to the resonance circuit. Also, the oscillator is provided with a temperature compensation circuit with a voltage applying means for applying a voltage of a value corresponding to a temperature to the variable capacitance diode.
