PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data file management method and structure which enables a processor to access large quantities of data stored in a secondary storage device without spoiling convenience, efficiency, and quickness. SOLUTION: With respect to the data file management method and structure for use in parallel access to one or more restart files wherein all data divided into meshes and being an evaluation object are consecutively stored in one record block per parameter type in accordance with a certain arrangement rule, a position identification number is added to each mesh, and each processor has positions of meshes which the processor takes charge of, and shuffling information specifying which address of which restart file the data required for calculation of the meshes exists in, and uses the certain arrangement rule, position identification numbers, shuffling information, and a buffer to access the restart files by a parallel file I/O function to read required data in a regular arrangement.
