PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner having excellent dispersibility to a thermoplastic resin, enabling satisfactory coloring, and further having excellent transparency, light resistance and heat resistance (sublimation properties). SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner comprises a polymer pigment including the residue of a pigment expressed by general formula (1) (R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>denote a substitutional group; and L<SB>1</SB>denotes =C(R<SB>4</SB>)- or =N-; and R<SB>4</SB>denotes a substitutional group) as a partial structure.
