摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive endoscope system having excellent assembling property, detecting the three-dimensional shape of an insertion part by obtaining the information on the distortion from Fiber Bragg Grating without using an optical coupler or expensive reference oscillator and capable of being miniaturized. SOLUTION: The endoscope system 1 comprises an optical fiber 12, a light source device 23 at an end of the optical fiber 12 for emitting incident light 41A including reference wavelength signals as the reference, a detection part 26, and a control device 3 for computing the Bragg wavelength defect information in transmitted light and the quantity of dispersion of the Bragg wavelength and detecting the quantity of distortion of the optical fiber 12. The control device 3 detects the reference wavelength signals from the transmitted light 41A by the detection part 26, compares the detected reference wavelength signals with the reference wavelength of the incident light emitted from the light source device 23, and corrects the wavelength or frequency of the incident light emitted from the light source device 23 based on the result of the comparison.
