The invention relates to an optoelectronic component (1), with an optically active region (100), the optically active region comprising at least one semiconductor chip (2), provided for the generation of electromagnetic radiation (4) and a beam forming element (3), through which at least a part of the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the semiconductor chip during operation passes and which has an optical axis (5). Said optically active region has a quadrant symmetry with relation to a coordinate system (6, 7) perpendicular to the optical axis. The invention further relates to an illumination device comprising such a component. |
