The internal combustion engine unit (1) has an internal combustion engine (2) with two exhaust gas tracts (7,9) and two exhaust gas turbochargers (13,14) each of which is connected with both the exhaust gas tracts. A pre-catalyst is provided, which lies downstream to the former exhaust gas turbo charger and a stop element (24) is assigned to the other exhaust gas turbocharger. Another stop element (26) is arranged downstream to another exhaust gas turbo charger. The two stop elements are connected with each other by a connection piping (25).
