<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator capable of stably obtaining hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generator 100 includes: an electrolytic bath 110 having an inner space of a predetermined size; a cover 120 hermetically covering an open top of the electrolytic bath 110 and having at least one hydrogen outlet 124; a flexible pocket 130 disposed in the electrolytic bath 110 and filled with an electrolyte of a predetermined amount; an electrode part fixed to the cover 120, and immersed in the electrolyte filled in the flexible pocket 130 to electrolyze the electrolyte upon application of power; and a power supply 150 supplying current to the electrode part. When the electrolyte is diminished, the flexible pocket 130 shrinks in volume, thereby preventing a drop in a level of the electrolyte; thus the electrode part and the electrolyte maintain a substantially constant contact area therebetween, thereby allowing hydrogen to be generated constantly and stably. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
