<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an optical packet multiplexed packet using a plurality of wavelengths used for wavelength multiplex transmission for transmitting each of optical packets from an ordinary packet used for a conventional packet network, and to inversely demultiplex the optical packet multiplexed packet into the ordinary packet with a little hardware. <P>SOLUTION: In accordance with the way of thinking wavelength multiplex wavelength time conversion in which a delay time is different for each wavelength while having a flat delay property within a wavelength, the number of active elements required for generating/demultiplexing the optical packet multiplexed packet is reduced and furthermore, delay or modulation/demodulation for a unit of multiple wavelength groups is introduced, thereby also reducing the length of a delay line required for wavelength multiplex wavelength time conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
