<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording fault detector which performs a writing fault detection when carrying out a recording processing for a recording medium based on record data with a recording head of an image recorder and, especially, responds to a high-speed printing and enables an exact inspection regardless of the print positional gap and tone error which a printer has in the first stage. <P>SOLUTION: The recording fault detector is equipped with an illumination part 5 for irradiating an illumination light after the recording processing for the recording medium 3 is performed and an image pickup section 4 by which the image pickup of the recorded image of the recording medium 3 to which the illumination light is irradiated by the illumination part 5 is carried out and the detected information is output. After standard record data is recorded in the recording medium 3 as input record data, standard detection information from which a standard record image was detected by the image pickup section 4 is output, and correction information is formed in comparing the standard detection information with the standard record data. While making the input record data to be a correction input record data which was corrected based on the correction information, after recording the input record data as an input record image in the recording medium 3, the judgement on the writing fault is made based on the comparison result of the input recorded image information with the correction input record data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
