<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon with which peeling or destruction is reduced in a boundary between an adhered part and a non-adhered part and also uniform inflation is obtained with excellent yields, and to provide a balloon catheter using the balloon. <P>SOLUTION: This balloon includes an inflation part to be inflated when inner pressure is applied and a non-inflation part which is hardly inflated. When the outer diameters of the inflation part and the non-inflation part without the application of inner pressure are respectively defined as D1 and D2, a relationship 0.7×D2<D1<1.3×D2 is held. When the outer diameter of the inflation part in the state that the maximum inner pressure within which the rupture of the balloon does not occur is defined as D3, a relationship 4×D1<D3 is held. The thickness T1 of the inflation part and the thickness T2 of the non-inflation part satisfy an inequality T1<T2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
