<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus which can cope with a change in magnetic field intensity distribution caused by a decline in output from RW. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus generates a magnetic field for reading data from a wireless tag and reads the data from the wireless tag. The radio communication apparatus comprises a power supply portion 8 for supplying electric power, a first antenna 16 which generates a predetermined magnetic field region by the power supplied from the power supply portion, a second antenna 17 which generates a magnetic field region different from the one generated by the first antenna by the power supplied from the power supply portion, a data processing portion 9 for performing the reading processing of the data from the wireless tag which have been received from the first and second antennae, an output measuring portion 21 for measuring a decline in output level from the power supply portion to the first antenna, and a change-over switch 13 for switching from the first antenna to the second antenna based on the measurement result of the output measuring portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
