PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route searching device capable of leading a driver etc., into the stable psychological state, and capable of searching a recommended route for previously avoiding dangerous driving, and to provide route searching method. SOLUTION: To the route the vehicle had travelled in the past, the behavior of the vehicle when travelling on the route corresponding to the dangerous rate represented stepwise to the route data is stored. For searching the recommended route to the destination, when there are a plurality of candidate routes to be the recommended route, it is determined whether at least one candidate route is corresponding to the behavior level or not: if the candidate route is corresponding to the behavior level, it is determined which candidate route should be the recommended route from the concerning behavior level.
