PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide type input operation device having a small number of components and a simple structure, and allowing multiple operations to be executed. SOLUTION: A first component having a first plane and a second component having a second plane are combined with each other to be relatively slidingly movable. On the first plane, first and second input electrodes and output electrodes separating from each other along the sliding movement direction are formed. On the second plane, a bridging electrode is formed to take a first state without bridging the first and second input electrodes and output electrodes in response to relative movement of the second component in the sliding movement direction with respect to the first component, a second state bridging them, and a third state bridging the input electrodes and the output electrodes. Input signals different from each other are input to the first and second input electrode, and signals obtained from the output electrodes are monitored to detect an operation in the sliding movement direction and an operation of two steps.
