SPACER FORMATION APPARATUS FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

A method and an apparatus for forming spacers in an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to make a start point of a blade differ from an end point of the blade, thereby completely transferring the spacers to a transfer roller. A spacer-supplying substrate(50) with a plurality of opening grooves(110) is prepared. Spacer ink is dropped on the spacer-supplying substrate. The spacer ink fills in the opening grooves of the spacer-supplying substrate. A blade(70) is moved obliquely with respect to the spacer-supplying substrate, thereby removing the spacer ink remaining on a surface of the spacer-supplying substrate. A transfer roller is rotated so that the spacer ink within the opening grooves is transferred to the transfer roller. The transfer roller is rotated on a substrate in order to perform a printing work while the transfer roller is contacted with a surface of the substrate.
