A power supply device and a communication apparatus are provided to miniaturize a coil or a condenser for smoothing power by using a plurality of supply units. A power supply device includes a plurality of supply units(223A-223E), a load detecting unit, and a power control unit(224_3). The plurality of supply units supply power to processing apparatuses(221A-221E). The load detecting unit detects processing load of the processing apparatuses. The power control unit increases or decreases the power supplied to the processing apparatuses from the plurality of supply units according to a size of the load detected by the load detecting unit. The plurality of supply units have a common period and supply periodical power of different phases.
