A method for constructing a file format, and an apparatus and a method for processing a digital broadcasting signal including a file having the file format are provided to construct a structure of the file format by using files including data about digital multimedia broadcasting. An MAF(Multimedia Application Format) file format is constructed such that the MAF file format includes first information for representing the type of a file, second information having one track, and third information for storing specific data defined by the track of the second information. The first information includes information of representing a brand identifier for indicating the MAF file format having a version and information of representing a detail version of the information of representing the brand identifier. The information representing the detail version includes at least one of information of indicating a major version of the information of representing the brand identifier and information of indicating a minor version of the information of representing the brand identifier.
