An apparatus for driving a variable turbine vane is provided to restrict the operational range of a step motor by a stopper without an additional position sensor and a sensor processing circuit. An apparatus(20) for driving a variable turbine vane includes a controller(200) and an appliance part(300). The controller controls the appliance part such that the opening state of the variable turbine vane is adjusted. The controller includes a motor controller(210) and a motor driver(220). The appliance part rotates the variable turbine vane according to the control of the controller to adjust the opening part of the variable turbine vane. The appliance part includes a driving motor part(310), an electro-motion part(320), a variable vane driving part(330), and a stopper.
