Machine for preparing a hot drink

The machine (1) has a water tank provided with a closed brewing chamber (3). A chamber (9) is provided for accommodation of a cup, where the capacity of the water tank is rated such that amount of water is sufficient for a cup of hot drink. The water tank is emptied at the end of the brewing, and a heating system is provided to heat the water. An illuminated indicator (5) is assigned to a button (4) for indicating operating state, where the indicator is arranged as an illuminated ring around the button.
