The vehicle heating device comprises a burner arrangement (12) with a combustion chamber (16). A fuel supply arrangement (18) is provided to feed fuel into the combustion chamber. A combustion air conveying member (20) conveys combustion air to the combustion chamber. A heat exchange system (28) with the burner arrangement is partially surrounding a heat exchange housing (26). A control unit (48) receives a signal representing the temperature variable by the temperature sensor arrangement and the temperature variable is compared with an assigned temperature value threshold.
