Provided are a chat system, a chat device, a chat server control method and an information storage medium, which realize proper communications between users. When a message transfer unit (11a) receives a message, it transfers the message to a game terminal of a transmission target, and a stop limiting unit (11c) sends an instruction (or a limiting instruction) to limit a chat function stopping operation at the game terminal, to the game terminal of the transmission source of the message thereby to limit the stop of the chat function at the game terminal. A stop limiting period calculating unit (11d) calculates a period (or a stop limiting period (T)) for limiting the chat function stopping operation, in accordance with the letter number (p) of the received message and the judgment by a keyword presence/absence judging unit (11e), and a timer unit (11b) specifies a stop limiting period ending time. When the stop limiting period ending time comes, the stop limiting unit (11c) sends an instruction (or a limit releasing instruction) to release the limit of the stopping operation of the chat function. |
