Laundry drier with circulated air and method for treating laundry

A laundry/washing drum (22) rotates on bearings and has an air inlet and outlet (28). A fan (24) feeds air into the drum. A device (36) switches over an air current through the drum between operations for circulating air and extracting air. Air drawn out of the drum is partly let out towards the outer side in one phase. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating laundry/washing in a linen drier.
