<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast communication relay device and its system capable of easily realizing mutual multicast communication in networks having mutually different systems. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The relay device is provided with a relay 11 for relaying a packet multicast to a group from a distribution apparatus belonging to a certain address administration system toward a communication terminal belonging to a system different from this system, a correspondence information storage 12 for storing correspondence information making the RPs of a system the same as that of the distribution apparatus correspond to groups, and an acting-as-substitute portion 13 for acting as substitute for an RP with respect to the system which the communication terminal belongs to. When the relay 11 receives participating information for allowing the communication terminal to participate in a group; the acting-as-substitute portion 13 transmits the participating information to a RP corresponding to a group which received participating information represents on the basis of the correspondence information, and the relay 11 relays the multicast packet from the distribution apparatus toward the communication terminal via the RP to which the participating information has been transmitted.
