<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of the inter-block discontinuity of an enlarged image by generating an original image frequency component to extract a low frequency component, acquiring the relation information wit a high component coding means between the low frequency component and the remaining high frequency component of an original image frequency component, coding the relation information to combine the low frequency component and the relation information and generating the simple image data. SOLUTION: An original image orthogonal transform means 11 transforms an original image acquired by an image input means 10 into the component data in a frequency space. A low component extraction means 100 extracts a low frequency component of the frequency component data on the original image. A high component coding means 13 codes a high frequency component area which remains when an amount equivalent to the low frequency component is removed from a frequency component of the original image. A code synthesizing means 14 combines the code string of relation information between the low frequency component acquired from the data on the rule description obtained by the means 13 or the coefficient, etc., of an approximate expression used by the means 13 and a high frequency component and the low frequency component data on the original image and then stores them in a storage medium 15.</p> |
