<p>The invention relates to a catalyst for the polymerization of propylene and to the use thereof within a process for the homo-or co-polymerization of propylene. According to the invention, the catalyst comprises the following components: A) a solid component resulting from the dissolution of a magnesium halide in a system of solvents, followed by mixing the homogeneous solution with titanium halide to form a mixture, then precipitating the solid part of the mixture in the presence of an auxiliary precipitation mixture, treating the solid with a polycarboxylic acid ester in order to load the ester on the solid and treating the ester loaded solid with titanium halide and inert diluent, the ratio between the amount of epoxy organic compound and one mole of magnesium halide being of 0.2/5 moles, while the molar ratio of the epoxy organic compound as compared with the phosphorus organic compound is of 0.5...1.6, where the auxiliary precipitate is selected from organic anhydrides, organic acids, ether and ketones, B) an aluminium organic compound of the formula AIRnX3-n, C) a silicon organic compound of the formula RnSi(OR')4-n, where the ratio between the components (B) and (A), determined as a molar ratio between the aluminium and titanium, is of 5...1000, and the ratio between the components (C) and (A), determined as a molar ratio between silicon and titanium is of 2...100.</p> |
