A slit die, and a shim used in the slit die to form a slit are provided to obtain a highly precise distribution of film thickness and to allow the re-adjustment to be unnecessary after maintenance. A slit die(1) comprises a manifold(7) which is formed at the surface where first and second lips(2,3) face each other; a shim(4a,4b) which is put between the first and second lips so as to be fixed; a slit which is formed by connecting the manifold and uses the aperture of the lower part as a discharge hole; and a taper which is installed toward the center part from the both terminal parts of the shim and whose thickness is varied. |
